Aug 26, 2016 11:30 AM in response to SimonVby KiltedTim,I'm not sure what this has to do with Apple... you should probably contact Seagate for assistance. There are probably changes you will have to make to your router for it to work. I seem to recall hearing lots of complaints regarding using it with the gateways provided for AT&T Uverse service.

Aug 26, 2016 11:38 AM in response to SimonVby rkaufmann87,★HelpfulKilted Tim is correct, as it turns out NAS technology is not supported by Apple with the exception of their own Time Capsule products. This leaves you to contact the vendor (Seagate) to troubleshoot your problem. First ensure your NAS supports the version of OS X you have installed, also when considering upgrading or updating OS X ensure the NAS has patches for that version.
Good luck.

Aug 26, 2016 11:40 AM in response to KiltedTimby SimonV,Many thanks Tim,
I thought that it probably had to do with the router set up in the airport app and the allocation of Ip addresses or something similar which is why I asked in apple. I have also asked Seagate so will post here is I can get a resolution to the challenge!

Again, many thanks for the input. On the box it states that the product is compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 or higher which I have. Lets see what Seagate says.
Thanks
Simon
