Q: Apple ID stolen and can't get rid of it

So months ago I had my account stolen by a person I don't know and I have no idea who he is at all and now it is stuck on my iPod touch 5th generation. It will not let me sign out of it, when I try to reset the password it tell me that the apple id doesnt exist anymore. Is there any way I can get rid of it please help.

If you have proof of purchase of your iPod, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the closest Apple store or contact Apple by phone at
