Aug 26, 2016 4:21 PM in response to Carolyn Samitby annettepeyton,That's just it, I am at the WELCOME SCREEN for setting up the operating system. There are no disk icons on the desktop. I'm aware of doing that but there is no hard drive icon, no disk icons, nothing.

Sep 10, 2016 9:46 PM in response to Eric Rootby mmurphy6,I have the exact same question as Annette. As she pointed out, there is no hard drive icon, no disk icons, nothing.
So I've successfully installed the OS, but I'm not completing the setup. Do I just leave the disc in there?

Sep 11, 2016 10:23 AM in response to mmurphy6by Eric Root,That is one option if none of the links I posted above can get the disk to eject. You can also shut down the computer and very carefully use a pair of tweezers to remove the disk.

Sep 11, 2016 12:16 PM in response to Eric Rootby mmurphy6,A solution I found that worked in my case is to hold the mouse pad down, then start the computer. Keep holding the mouse down as the computer starts. The CD ejected during startup. My computer is a MacBook Pro mid 2010.
