Q: Sync of home folder does now work partially
Hello there,
in my thread "Sync of mobile users just does not work" I found a solution that now the folders are synced... But after testing the sync on a second MacBook, I saw that this is just half the truth.
It somehow does not sync the folders in which Mail settings and Mails are stored - and a guess some other things too. So when I login with the same user account to another Mac, the environment of any user is not the same at all.
I looked I little bit deeper in this and I found out that there are 2 settings for synchronization in profile manager -> device group -> mobility: The one for general sync and the one for home folder. In my setup, it seems that the one for general sync are taken, not the ones for home folders.
So, I wonder if anyone could answer the following questions:
1. Did I make any mistake in my configuration and all settings of a mobile user (including mail etc) should be transferred to any client using this mobile account?
2. Or is it simply that generally, settings of mobile users for eg Mail are not included in the mobile sync process?
I would really get this working correctly, so I wonder if anyone could help me on this.
