What app?
Hi, I am using the Contact information from my iPhone. Hopefully, this will answer your question.
I Was able to make the change successfully to print the return address.
Then what advice would you give to the next person, who finds your post by searching?
I was able to paste my return address by opening the Contact app, then click on the "
All on My Mac" and ensure that the information on my My Card name was properly filled out. The original default information was inadequate.
Once this was done, I tested a mailing address from my Contact list and noticed that my return address was showing correctly. A print test confirmed my changes.
I did this after browsing through multiple searches on the internet without avail. It was a "luck of the draw" that i hit it on my many attempts to adopt the return address.
I hope this has answered your inquiry.
Murphy's Law - In contacts, under "Notes", I always put in the address of the contact with the correct 9 digit zip code.
Then I just copy paste it to a copy made from a "Blank Env ToCopy" that I've set up in Pages ... with my Return Address in the proper location of a #10 Envelope. If it's a vendor or address used regularly, I file the addressed envelope & my Letter head with the company name and address.
Printing envelopes is a pain in the posterior if you don't have the right printer. If I printed that many different envelopes, I'd just buy me another TRUSTY OLD HP2035 (used of course) set up for "envelopes only" with my mid 2012, Apple Pro Tower. At the present, I keep another old Apple Quicksilver G4, purposely offline for my finances, with a HP1160 printer that does envelopes easily. For up to Os10.6.8 use an HP1160. Later OS Machines use a HP2035. These "Black only machines" are easy to clear a paper clog. The two other high Cost Color HP's, clogged, are sitting idle, because you have to extensively disassemble these (Multiple expletives deleted) printers to clear a paper clog.
