    Hello lsepcyeu,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!

If I understand correctly, you are no longer able to sync your notes with iOS 5.1.1 using iCloud.  I would be happy to help you out with this.

It sounds like your iCloud for Windows has been upgraded.  If this is the case, then it is able to sync with notes running on iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.  Using these operating systems allows the newest version of Notes to sync with all your devices. You can find out more about it here:

Upgrade your notes with iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan

You can find out how to update your MacBook Pro to the latest OS X here:

Upgrade to OS X El Capitan

Once you have updated the OS X, it will sync notes with the Windows 10 system.  The iPad 1 is not able to run iOS past 5.1.1, so it is not going to be able to sync with the other devices any longer.

    Have a great day!

    Hi lsepcyeu,

You can find the version by following these instructions:

    iCloud Control Panel

    1. Open iCloud Control Panel:

      •
      •
      • In Windows 8.1, Go to the Start screen, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
      •
      •
      •
      • In Windows 8, go to the Start screen, then click the iCloud tile.
      •
      •
      •
      • In Windows 7, choose Start menu > iCloud folder > iCloud.
    2. The version number is in the upper-right corner of the iCloud Control Panel.

    The current version is 5.1

You should be able to email those notes from the old iPad to yourself, and then copy them to the computers from the emails.

    Have a great day!

Regarding "The iPad 1 is not able to run iOS past 5.1.1, so it is not going to be able to sync with the other devices any longer".

I still have an iPad 1 on iOS 5.1.1 with lots of Notes on it.  Does the above mean it can no longer synchronise notes (or anything else, but notes is what I am more interested in) to iCloud?
