Q: Why has my mbpr stopped charging my iphone when I close the lid?

Hi All,

I used to be able to leave my iphone plugged into the macbook pro and close the lid and it would continue charging.

I recently realized that it has stopped doing this - I have not changed anything though have made the regular apple updates within the last couple of weeks.

It was always able to do this from new up until now so I am really wondering whats happened as I have personally made no changes...

Its a 2015 macbook pro retina 13" with osx El Capitan 10.11.6

Any advice much appreciated!
