Q: How do I add a single album to my iPhone 6S
Hi All,
Jeez I'm frustrated... This used to be SO easy....
I've got an Late 2012 Mac 27 with 8GB 2.9GHz I5 running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5... I have the latest version of iTunes 12.4.3.1.
I've also got a iPhone 6S running 9.3.5
I've got a load of songs on my iPhone and have just imported a new album (physically importing via the use of a CD and the Cd Drive) into my iTunes library. Obviously the next step is to add this album to my iPhone.
In my iTunes, iPhone window I have the option "Manually manage Music and Videos" ticked.
I have connected the phone PHYSICALLY to the mac.
When I try the "Drag and drop" method to add the album I get a "greyed out" list of the tracks showing in the window for the phone and the little "dotted" circle next to the tracks - but it WON'T ACTUALLY put them on the device ???? WHAT THE **** AM I DOING WRONG ???
I can't sync automatically the entire library as it is massive and will blow the phone capacity easily. I've always had to manage manually and "Drag and drop" worked fine ? What's changed ? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong ?
Regards
Andy

I am guessing you likely have Apple Music and/or iTunes Match, which changes how "Manually manage music" works.
Regardless of whether you have Apple Music and/or iTunes Match or not, this should have your solution:
Move content from iTunes on your computer to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
