I woke up this morning with a fully charged phone and as soon as I took it off the charger the phone died and now I have to leave it plugged in to get any use out of it as it stays on 1% charged. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a cheap fix to it?

- Try another cable. The cable for 5G or later iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.

- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
