An error occurred while updating the firmware.

Hello, I have an amber light blinking on my Airport Extreme device showing that a firmware update is available. However when I tried to update it I got the following error each time: "An error occurred while updating the firmware -6,721". What should I do?

If not already, connect your iMac to the AirPort Extreme using an Ethernet cable. On the iMac, make sure Ethernet is enabled and Wi-Fi disabled (or just off). Then try using the AirPort Utility again to attempt the firmware upgrade.

Thank you Tesserax... by doing this and re-setting the Airport (off / on) solved the issue.. Cheers
