Best Dual Drive Setup Configuration

Hi guys,

I have a Macbook Pro Mid 2012 and i just installed a SSD (840 Evo Samsung 250 Gb) in the main sata connector and moved the previous 500 Gb HDD to the Optical Bay.

How can i move folders and tell Dropbox and other large files folders only to work on the HDD and keep only the MacOsX and some software on the SSD? Should it done with some terminal command?

Since the SSD is an exact clone from the HDD sometimes it is still a bit confussing where i am actually working on. Should i make a folder named HDD with direct access in desktop to ?

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info Leroy, i will read those links now.

I am familiar with Fusion Drive in iMac but i didn't know i could make one by myself. Some comments in the links are not very positive on the self-made fusion drive because it said it does not speed up the system...but i have to read them all and tried them now.

I have used this Tip above and found it to function with good performance.
