How can I transfer messages from ipod 4 to macbook pro?

So I recently bought myself a Macbook Pro 13" w/ Retina Display Model A1502

I have an iPod touch 4th Generation which is probably 6 years old or so, which is synced to my family's 2008 Macbook Pro

What I am wondering is how I can transfer the message conversations I have on my iPod touch to my new MacBook Pro. I plugged it in and was able to move my pictures from ipod to laptop.

It would really mean a lot to me to have those text conversations because my friends and I have had some very good conversations even by the ipod messenger.
