Hidden items in security downloads

I Am concerned about the hidden items that are down loaded when applying security updates. I do not like Apple giving me apps that I will never use but cannot get rid of once they are installed. Are these hidden within apps? What if you are not an overly sociable person? What if you do not travel much, buy tickets or other various apps that you did not want taking up limited space on my phone. I currently have 7 apps that I have placed in a junk folder. I am leary of apple down loads because of this

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.4

Pre-installed apps or apps that came with the phone can't be deleted right now, you'll have to wait until IOS 10 comes out to remove those apps.
