Can't sync on my new laptop

Got a new laptop and downloaded ITunes app after uninstalling it on my old computer and now can't sync newly purchased songs to my ipod. I plug it in, click sync to device and nothing happens. Any advice?

iPod classic, Windows 10

Make sure there is nothing stored on the iPod that you want that hasn't been copied to your new library. See Recover media from an iPod if there is. Then check your sync selections. I suspect you have nothing selected to sync, so nothing does.
