every one I want to use iTunes, comes s.mzstatic.com. how can I solve the problem?

Very Frustrated with this s.mzstatic.com. It seems no one knows how to solve it. Is it a virus that apple does not know how to solve? My iPhone now cannot do anything meaningful.

If you signed up to get a music service, their software puts some kind of

junk in your browser; a search of the name s.mzstatic.com brought up a

page in arabic or something I'm unfamiliar with, and it didn't tell much

on how to be rid of the symptoms it creates if you install or use it.

You may be able to remove the problem from your iOS by following ideas:

OS X and iOS: Get Rid of Safari Scam Pop-Ups - The Mac Observer

https://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/os-x-and-ios-get-rid-of-scam-safari-pop- ups

The advert I've seen suggests the problematic item you found 'un'removable

is part of a scheme to 'allow' you to get music on your iPhone without iTunes.

And one of the mzstatic main sites -- has been blocked now as security risk.

• Stop pop-up ads in Safari - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203987

Apr 26, 2016 - This also removes your browser history and cookies. You can

also adjust settings in Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to help protect ...

You may have to try to remove any vestige of extensions or properties that

may be associated with the product; some of them are directly affecting

the browser (Safari) in your iPhone.

• A Browser Pop-up Scam has Taken Over Safari - Apple Club

{Another idea was to go and find, then delete, the Certificates (secure) that

are associated with the property in question - especially if they are expired.

But only if there is a warning about an invalid certificate, by the same name.}

Since you found an old thread from about four years ago and replied to it

the odds of a reply to your new post here may be lacking in adequate help.

So you may choose to make an all-new reply in a suitable ASC topic area.

Perhaps another helpful person here may see your post, and offer better reply;

and maybe a Community Host could relocate this post into its own new thread.

In any event...

Good luck in this matter! 🙂

Since you could try another route, and 'restore' your iDevice using a computer

that has iTunes application in it; that may resolve the fixation your product has

with this alternative music site... If none of the items above were satisfactory:

• Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

If there is an adware or other content that doesn't want to go away, there are

some things you can do to erase and restore content. The above may fix it.

Without access to a computer running iTunes, you may be able to erase all the

content in the Device using information from this article:

• Erase all content and settings on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

in top of this web page, it says:

"use the steps below to restore your device to factory settings and remove all settings and information"

Note there is an Activation Lock that may need to be attended to, the details and

links to that topic are within page above. Be sure to attach the Device to its power

supply and expect some time, maybe hours, for the unit to erase contents. If you

erase all your personal data, be sure to read up on how to restore full function after.

There also is some information that may help overall, even though it is not related

to the topic of the four year old thread you originally replied to; your thread was

'branched' from that topic and my reply went along with it.

This has additional info:

• What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Hopefully you can gain access to your device and restore its function; by reset or

other method. You may also see if an authorized Apple service provider can help.

Depending on your location, region, or country, the availability of service support

and help will vary. The Locate page for Other (asia, etc) can list more countries.

In any event...

Good luck in this matter! 🙂
