Q: Backing up 2 devices on Airport with same folders and photos

I have just bought an Airport and an iMac. I already own a Mac Book Pro. The Mac Book has 250GB of photos on it as well as some other stuff which I will put onto my iMac and I will use my iMac as my place to edit (on Lightroom) If I back up both devices after that will there be a duplicate of everything on Airport?  Thinking to keep life simple I have to remove everything from my Mac Book after it has been transferred to iMac, especially when I start to edit then my 2 sets will begin to differ and life will get complicated? Any thoughts? Thanks

Yes, by default Time Machine will back up everything on a Mac on the first copy and back up any changes that have occurred after the first complete back up.

However, you do have the option to have Time Machine exclude any applications or files that you choose from being backed up. Open Time Machine Preferences, click on Options and then click the + button at the bottom of the Excluded Items list to navigate and choose the applications or files that you want to Exclude from backups.
