Q: Trouble adding Google Calendar to iCal
I have a Mac Mini running on OSX El Capitan version 10.11.6. My calendar app is version 8.0. I have been trying to add my Google calendar to the calendar app. I have followed the basic instructions posted on mac support sites and Gmail sites, but it is not working. I have done this two ways and both ways do not work. I have gone into my calendar preferences on my mac, gone to accounts, and see this every time:
Seems like it should work right? Nope.
I have also tried going to system preferences and looking under internet accounts. Each time I go there, I see this:
It seems to only have my email synced with my computer. So then I click the calendar box and close system preferences. When I open system preferences again, the calendar box is unchecked. What am I doing wrong and how do I get it so there is 2 way syncing with my google calendar and the calendar on my computer?
