IF you have an work exchange email account on your phone - then it will be your employer asking you to update your password.
OR it could be Apple suggesting that you use a 6 digit passcode instead of the 4 digit.

There are no known virus for a non jailbroken Apple devices...

Mac OS XIf you have an Exchange account the Exchange administrator can require periodic passcode changes.

Although its value to device security is debatable, it is a legitimate requirement from the Microsoft Exchange server you are using.
