Q: Pre-order problem

Hello, I just pre-ordered the album “Foreverland (Deluxe Version)” by The Divine Comedy about 45 minutes ago on my iPhone 6 and I received the usual confirmation alert that I would be notified when the content was available for download. Release day is Sept. 2.

 

There are two currently available singles that I expected to have access to but do not, so that got me to thinking perhaps the pre-order did not go through correctly. There is no "Manage Pre-Orders" anywhere on my account on my iMac, even though I received the Pre-Order Confirmation alert.

 

So I’m wondering if my pre-order actually went through or not? If so, I think I would like to cancel and just order it the minute it goes live, but how do I cancel without the “Manage Pre-Orders?"

    It sounds like you want to cancel a pre-order from the iTunes store.  I will be happy to help you with this.

     

    You can manage your pre-orders in iTunes on a Mac or PC, but not on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

    Click to open iTunes and sign in to your Account Information page, or use these steps:

    1. Open iTunes.
    2. If you’re not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID.
    3. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account.

      If you’re using Windows and can’t see the menu bar, learn how to turn it on.
    4. Enter your password, then press the Return or Enter key on your keyboard, or click View Account.

    On the Account Information page:

     

    1. Scroll to Settings, then click Manage Pre-Orders.
    2. On the Manage Pre-Orders screen, you can view information about your pre-orders.
      To cancel a pre-order, click the Cancel button to the right of the item. When asked to confirm that you want to cancel, click OK.
