Q: Magic Trackpad 2 bottom not reacting

Hi everyone,

I'm using the Magic Trackpad 2 under macOS and the bottom ~1cm does not seem to react (no mouse pointer movement) when I place my finger there and try to move it. However if I place my finger further up and move to the bottom, the mouse pointer keeps moving. This is especially annoying when trying to use the scroll down gesture and nothing happens because I started by placing my fingers on the bottom of the trackpad.

I'm not sure but I assume this could be a palm rejection feature. Can anyone confirm the same or different behaviour?

If this is indeed a software-wise palm rejection feature, is there a way to disable it?

I appreciate any help.

Edit: The issue is present on different macs with El Capitan and also the latest Sierra Beta.

Thank you, Augenleet.   You wrote a good description but you may have missed out some key information.   Exactly which OS are you using.   If it is Yosemite or earlier, that may be the reason.  Check the box that your trackpad came in.   Does it say for use with OsX 10.11 El Capitan?
