Q: Time Machine on 10.11.5 Server

I'm setting up two Mac mini servers at two locations. I have Time Machine on each set to backup to the other's external drive. I've shared the external drive in the Server software and picked it as the Backup Destination on the opposite computer.

All is working fine except I have 7TB of storage available on each external drive and Time Machine seems to only recognize 2TB. In the Time Machine section of the Server software it shows 7TB available. In the Time Machine preferences, it only shows as 2TB.

Is there a max storage space limit with either Time Machine, or using Time Machine to a remote drive on another os x server?

Hi chawk2112,
I'm assuming you are using the
Time Machine Service on each server : https://help.apple.com/serverapp/mac/getstarted/5.1.5/#/apde1028b669

Check with the Server app -> Services -> Time Machine -> Backup Destinations. Double click on the Backup Destination and check the set limit for each backup is correct for a 2TB limit. Do note that limit is obeyed for OS X Mavs clients or newer.
