Q: iphone SE: "no service," cannot see network after 9.3.5 update
Activated my new iphone 6 SE. It was working fine. Installed the new 9.3.5 update. Phone immediately shifts to "no service," cannot connect to cellular network. Can connect via wi-fi.
Rebooted. Turned cellular service on and off, turned off "find my phone," reset networking settings, rebooted each time. I have reset and rebooted and done every suggestion I could find online short of wipe the phone entirely. Which I don't want to do ... because then I'll have to reinstall the 9.3.5 update and get back on this sweet little merry-go-round, now won't I?
Phone IS activated; calls don't go to my old phone, they shift to voice mail even if old phone is on.
Advice?

Turns out the issue was not with the phone but with my carrier. The phone was activated but wasn't (one of the three places where the phone needed to be identified in their system was pointing to a different phone).
