Sep 6, 2016 9:39 AM in response to gareth266by a brody,Sourceforge may have open source projects that will work with X11 and older versions of Darwin, which is essentially NetBSD. Mac OS 9 which runs on the iMac G3 is not called iOS 9.2.1, but rather Mac OS 9.2.1.
iOS runs on iPads, iPhones, and iPad Touches.
Mac OS 9.1 or later which run without rebooting your Mac from Mac OS X lacks driver support, which is available if you can go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Startup disk to reboot into Mac OS 9, which your iMac supports.
Gamesprockets which some peripheral devices support was first introduced in pre-Mac OS X Mac systems. It might take some digging, but that may also offer you some connectivity there. Developer forums on this board exist that may be able to help. Developer Forums
