My "contacts found in mail" is not working.

I have turned on the "Contact found in Mail" switch in my "Mail,Contact,Calendars" settings however, I am still getting no names underneath numbers (not in my contacts) that i receive calls from, even though they have sent me emails before.

I have tested it by deleting my friends mobile number from my phone, getting my friends to send me emails with their phone number in their signature, however their name is not coming up! This is a really handy feature for work and I just want it to work.

I was recently playing around with this on my other friends phone but for some reason now, it has turned off and doesn't work?

Can someone please help and let me know if they have the same issue.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings bwguevara,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

I see that you have turned on Contacts Found in Mail, but you are not seeing names underneath the numbers that you receive calls from, even though they have emailed you before. I can understand the importance and convenience of using this feature. I'm more than happy to assist you with this issue.

First, please use the following article to close all apps on your iPhone:

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then, use this article to give your iPhone a fresh restart:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once your iPhone starts up, please test this again, and see if you get the same result with no names underneath the numbers.

All the best.
