Q: itunes music match "error" in icloud status

I have been successfully using Music Match for a few months after waiting for Apple to accept larger libraries.

The other day out of nowhere I started getting "error" in the icloud status column, seemingly random. Like I would add 15 tracks and one of them shows up as "error"

It happened with pretty much every addition to my library for the last few days.

Then I sorted my library by "icloud status" and found there are a hundred or so "error" files that a few months ago were just fine.

I did a little research and tried converting the "error" files into .mp3 format (they are all AAC) and seeing what happens with the new upload. Interestingly enough, the converted file shows a status of "duplicate".

What is my next step?

I tried copying the files (the "original" and the "duplicate") to my desktop. Then I deleted the two files from iTunes (moved to trash option) and then tried importing one of the ones from my desktop. That one just gets the "error" after "waiting" to place in my library online.

The files play fine locally, but are greyed out on my iphone.
