Q: How to get large video on iCloud?

I have a 22gbyte video I'd like to be synced to iCloud. I imported the video into the Photos application. Normally everything in Photos gets synced with iCloud and I can then view my photos and videos with my MacBook, iPhone, AppleTV, and iPad. I love iCloud! But this particular large video doesn't appear anywhere except where I originally imported the video into Photos, on my MacBook. I don't see thumbnails of the video anywhere else.

I really want this video at least backed up on iCloud... Is there a size limit that iCloud/Photos isn't telling me about? Do I have no choice but to subscribe to some other storage service in order to back this video up?

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

iCloud Drive has a size limit of 15GB.  No file larger than 15BG can be uploaded.  (iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support)

You would have to split the video into separate parts, no part larger than 15GB to be able to upload it.

Or reduce the size of the video by changing the format - a smaller pixel size, a different cdec with a larger compression.

I'm not using iCloud Drive. I'm using Photos synced to iCloud. Maybe the same limitations apply, but I haven't seen that stated anywhere.

What do people do with large videos? This has to be a very common concern.
