How to upgrade an iPad from iOS 7.0.6 to 9.3.5

I have tried to upgrade an iPad 2 from iOS 7.0.6.

It gives me the the option to upgrade to 9.2.1. This upgrade always fails with the info "Unable to Veryfy Update iOS 9.2.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet".

I have for sure an internet. I tried these solutions:

  1. Shut down the settings app
  2. Refresh the iPad with Power and Home button
  3. Reset network settings
  4. Delete the update (the update is no longer visible in the Settings/General/Usage/Storage).

What is the best way to upgrade this iPad?

best regards,

Juan

If you're talking about iOS 9.2.1 at this time, it sounds like you got an expired iOS package. Delete the fully downloaded iOS 9.2.1 package from your device (Settings - General - Storage & iCloud Usage - Manage Storage). Look for iOS 9.2.1 entry. Delete it. Let your iPad download the latest iOS version 9.3.5 (or manually check for updates). You should be able to install version 9.3.5 with no issues.
