Problem with Home Sharing on Apple TV

I wanted to send the music I have in my Macbook Pro to my Apple TV without iTunes Match because I don't want to pay money to do that. I turned on Home Sharing on both devices and I don't know what to do afterwards. I even went to iTunes>Preferences>Sharing and turned on Share my entire library to network. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong to pass music from my Macbook Pro to my Apple TV or what I am supposed to be doing?

HI,

You don't have to use iTunes Match to stream music from a Mac to an Apple TV. That requires a Wi-Fi network using AirPlay.

Launch iTunes then click the AirPlay icon User uploaded file top left side of the iTunes window then select your Apple TV from the drop down menu.
