27 inch iMac screen flickering

I have a late 2012 iMac 27 inch screen. A few weeks ago, my screen started flickering erratically. Tried all customary ways to flush (pram, smc, etc.) but nothing worked. Even loaded new graphics driver. Then I started removing USB peripherals and suddenly the flickering stopped. Permanently. Something to do with USB voltage overload.
