Hi

The following steps may help (check after each):

On your iPhone go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services:

  • Check that Location Services is enabled (top setting);
    • If the setting is already enabled, try turning it off, pausing for few moments and then turning it back on again.
  • In the list of applications beneath:
    • Check that Apple Watch Faces is set to While Using > While Using the App.
    • At the bottom, tap on System Services > check that Setting Time Zone is enabled (you may also wish to enable all other system services, if they are not presently enabled).

Check that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both enabled on your iPhone:

  • iPhone: Settings > Bluetooth - on.
  • iPhone: Settings > Wi-Fi - on.
  • For the best performance from your watch, keep both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permanently enabled on your iPhone.

Check that your watch and iPhone are connected:

  • When viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on your watch face > swipe left / right to the Settings Glance > check that this states Connected and shows a green phone icon. Disable Airplane Mode if it is enabled.

If you have not yet done so, check that both your iPhone and watch are updated to the latest software, starting with your iPhone:

Restart both your iPhone and your watch, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first;

If the issue persists, next try unpairing and re-pairing your watch:

The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup when offered the option during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).

Johnathan,

Thank you for your information. There is apparently is a bug in the location services program. Dark Sky could not see my location and they suggested that you turn location to never for that application and then back to always and it solved that problem. I tried the same for the watch faces and it corrected the problem. Thanks again for your help!
