Q: TimeCapsule & AirportExtreme conflict internet connection not wifi; why?
Hi Geniusses,
at home I have a Time Capsule with is my router (from my providers lan-modem) and it works just fine.
However now that I've added my Airport Extreme in bridge mode as extender, the WiFi connection is at full speed but I lose the internet connection on several devices (phone, PS4, macbook pro) at random.
When I remove the connection from the Airport Extreme the problem is gone again...
Does anybody know with which setting I can solve this problem?
Thank you for your help!
MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 9.3.5, null

Your issue is obvious with the screenshots so thanks for those.
The Extreme has no IP address.
What is even stranger is .. it has the wrong router (gateway) address.
192.168.192.1 whereas the TC is on 192.168.178.10 with the gateway I presume set to 192.168.178.1 so this can never work.
What model is the extreme.. the firmware version does not help me.. but if it is old it might be too old.
Anyway I would setup the Extreme again in the same room as the TC..
Reset it to factory and redo the setup.. make sure it gets the IP correctly in the same range as the TC and has the correct gateway address. Then move it to the place you need it to get better wireless .. this is not usually where the clients are located.. but half way between the TC and clients.
The wireless link is revealed by connection. Unknown in the Extreme summary page.. see my screenshot below.. run your mouse pointer over it and that will give you the link speed.. although in latest utility it seems to be often fables and fictional it might still help. In the old days.. like Yosemite it used to show Excellent, Good, Average.. now it is just confused.
In my setup shown below.. I have two gen5 Extreme with a wireless extend link. Running the mouse over unknown it shows me a full speed on 2.4ghz connection between them.. 216Mbps .. You must place the Extreme in a location where it gets at least a link speed of 50Mbps is my experience.. less than that and the link will be unstable and unusable.
The Extreme is extending wireless because I have no option of getting a cable near where I need the Extreme to be.
Other than you have the extreme in the wrong location now.. think about trialling powerline adapters (EOP, Homeplug).. they don't always work but when they do are better than wireless.
To fix my problem of excessive wireless loss I ran ethernet to a location downstairs.. that I could access. Placed one Extreme there.. upstairs I placed a second extreme on the floor behind the TV cabinet upside down .. so the signal goes through the floor and the two units are literally less than 2M apart. That fixed my issue of getting wireless over about 15M through several brick walls and ceiling. The wireless did work ok for about a year though.. I suspect the Extreme are slowly degrading and now need as much help as they can get.
Just another little note.. which I cannot help but point out the earlier v5 utility showed the wireless links accurately and graphically and from both ends of the connection not just one. Because it was a tool not a toy utility. It is still worth running older Mac OS.. even if you have to use a dual boot system. You can see both ends do not give the same numbers.
