Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store. That's symptomatic of a damaged or failing touch screen.
My husband's phone is only 3 1/2 months and mine is only 10 days old. Both have had LiveProof waterproof phone cases and we are very careful with our phones and they have not been exposed to moisture or dropped. They have been in cases since the first day we owned them. I don't think the touch screen could be damaged since they are so well protected. Thank you for your suggestion, though...
Remove the cases and see if the problem persists. if you have additional screen protectors installed, remove them.
I've seen those cases cause more problems than they solve.
Good suggestion. I just did a factory reset of settings on my husband's phone and I will see if the problem persist. If it does, we will take the case off next. His phone is worse than mine. Mine has only had one issue of music playing without me touching the phone. I will report back if either works.
