I have just bought an iPhone SE and don't seem to get a camera "shutter" sound for single shots. It seems to work for multiple shots.
I've done a soft reset by turning off/on but it's made no
difference! Suggestions??

You have to take the camera off of live setting . Then it Will work

If a Reset didn't help, a Restore might.
Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-20 seconds).

If your backup is to iTunes, make sure it's an encrypted backup.
