Q: Connecting Iphoto to mail

1. Select the pictures you want to send.
2. Click on the email button or choose Share, Email.
3. Select a size for your pictures from the pulldown menu. iPhoto will show you how many photos you have selected and how big the attachment will be.

In the iPhoto preferences set the mail client you want to use - then in iPhoto select the photo(s) and click on share and select mail to share with

Which email providers are you using?

iPhoto has two modes to send mail:  You can use iPhoto as mailer and use the  iPhoto stationary, or you can use the native Mail.app or Outlook.  You select the mail client in the iPhoto Preferences, as Larry suggested.

Using Mail.app to send the photos is giving the least trouble, and Mail has also stationary.

But even with Mail as the mail client - if you have two-step verification enabled, you may need to create an app-specific password for iPhoto, independent of the mail client.  This procedure is explained in the link that Carolyn Samit posted ( If you can't email photos from iPhoto - Apple Support).
