Why do I have double and triple copies of a gendre. Not just all under one let'

s say rock. there is more than one.

For general advice see Grouping tracks into albums. You'll need to make sure that the text used for a specific genre is consistent throughout, e.g. change all of the Rock tracks to RockX and then back to Rock.
