Q: My Podcast will not submit

We have been trying to resubmit our podcast as it has been removed for some reason from the itunes store.  I have gone to 6 different validator sites, including the one that Apple suggests, and all of them say that the feed is good.  Upon submitting the feed within a minute all I get back is an email from Apple stating there was an error.  There is no clue as to what the error might be.  On the validate screen you can see everything showing correctly.  What do I need to do?

Why on earth do people post this sort of question without posting the feed URL. I can't give you any help without it.

Your podcast passes validation in Podcasts Connect, and can be subscribed to in iTunes. The only two issues with the feed are minor and I wouldn't have expected them to cause a problem. The 'length' attribute in you enclosure tags is "10" in all cases - it should be the file size in bytes. I'm not convinced that the Store takes any notice of this but it might be worth correcting.

You have no 'guid' tags: these are used by the Store to check whether there is a new episode and each must be completely unique (often people use the media file URL) - AFAIK the Store uses the actual media URL in the absence of this tag so it shouldn't matter.

As it passes Apple's own validation I don't know what's going on. Possibly some sort of glitch: give it a couple of days then try again. If it still fails, try emailing Support (be sure to emphasize that it passes their own validation). Go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.
