How do I unblock an email address in Mail?

I blocked an email address months ago but don't remember how I did it and now I can't reverse it. I'm using Mail, 10.11.6 on my Macbook Pro.

This morning two emails from this person appeared in my mailbox but before I could click on them they vanished so I know they were sent but don't know where they went. How can I unblock this address and retrieve the emails?

You really can't block email messages but you can setup a Rule to automatically send messages to trash, Spam folder, or do something else with them. Go to Mail>Preferences>Rules
