Q: What happened to iTunes data fields for adding new music tracks?

Hi

The latest iTunes update has changed the data fields when you add new music tracks.

It seems that the missing fields can only be added now by tying into the playlist screen.

This has also affected the sorting for playlists dependent on "Genre" as the above B.B.King track won't add into my Blues/R&B playlist even though the criteria based on genre is correct.

Any ideas anyone please?

    Hi,

I just discovered the answer to this. The tracks were being converted into 'ringtone' instead of MP4A by mistake after I had accidentally changed a setting following an software update.

So iTunes is working fine now.

    Thanks.
