Q: how to find template chooser

I am trying to find some templates but cannot find the Template Chooser.

OBS iMac (20-inch Early 2008), iOS 9.3.5

When Pages launches, it will present a File Chooser. At the bottom of the File Chooser is a New Document button. Click that, and you will be taken to the Template Chooser. Alternatively, Pages '09 offers a File menu : New from Template Chooser… selection, and Pages v5 only offers File menu : New…

 

If you are using a Pages version older than v5, then use the Word Processing templates, unless you want to layout a custom document, in which case you would select from the Layout Templates. You cannot directly enter text in the latter Blank template without using text boxes.
