how to scan for virus in terminal or to delete xvidcodec on Mac?

I've accidentally installed xvidcodec from unknown source when i tried to watch downloaded movie (YIFY) i think the uploader is fake/spammer because when i check again the torrent site it says "not found (aka 404)" and the movie doesnt play if you dont have xvidcodec, i know how stupid i am to download pirated movies and i'm sorry, my question is how to scan in terminal if my mac is infected?how to delete xvidcodec and its associated files? if i restore my mac from time machine before the day i installed the xvidcodec will xvidcodec deleted and its associated files? thanks

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
