Move old iTunes library to new computer

I have followed the instructions in HT204318

above to move my iTunes library from my old mac computer to my new mac computer. iTunes continues to recognize an empty library instead of the old library. What am I doing wrong.

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X 10.11.6

If you launched iTunes before you migrated the old library, iTunes will continue to launch with that library. You can check if you have multiple libraries in your user folder.

Launch iTunes with the Option key down, then select Choose Library and direct itunes to the proper library.
