Q: Shuffle playing audio books out of order
The past couple of weeks, my Shuffle has been playing my Audible audio books out of order. They show up clearly labeled as Part 1, Part 2, etc... yet, they wind up playing in random order. I've tried making a playlist out of the parts, but that hasn't helped either.
The Shuffle is almost three years old. I use it about 30 hours a week. Is it just time for a new one?
Last week, I bought a Nano, but even after 10+ hours of changing iTunes settings, Windows 10 settings, chatting with Apple support, and trying various fixes found on various Apple-related forums, I couldn't get it to work. Could the problem with the Shuffle be related?
iPod shuffle, Windows 10, Audible, audio books

Could the problem with the Shuffle be related?
Hard to say, without more details about the problem using the iPod nano.
For the shuffle, you should try doing a Restore on the it, using iTunes. The problem may be caused by data corruption on the shuffle. The Restore erases the shuffle, reinstalls its software, and sets it to default settings. Try syncing your audiobooks again after the Restore. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary settings screen in iTunes.
