Q: how do i write continuous text to a song in iMovie

I would like to add lyrics to a song using iMovie, but the "titles" available don't give you that option, except for the scrolling title. Don't want to scroll, just want a continuous text of words.  How? 

MacBook (13-inch Early 2009), OS X Yosemite (10.10)

    Hmmmm.   Perhaps the "Ticker" title will accomplish what you want.  That gives you words passing along the bottom of the screen.  You can adjust the speed by changing the duration of the title.    Less duration = faster speed; More duration = slower speed.
