Aug 31, 2016 5:19 PM in response to Gjmhby Rich839,Hi,
You need to drag the title to the timeline and place it above a clip. It will shrink to a small icon. Then click on the title icon and the title will appear on your preview screen with a place to enter text.

Aug 31, 2016 5:37 PM in response to Gjmhby Jim Wanamaker,Open iMovie holding down the command and option keys and select to delete preferences. If you still see no titles in the title browser then reinstall iMovie.

Aug 31, 2016 5:52 PM in response to Gjmhby Jim Wanamaker,I would reinstall iMovie. Place iMovie app in the trash but don't empty the trash as a precaution in case the reinstall fails. Sign in to the App Store with your apple ID and select the purchases tab. iMovie should be there to install.
