HP Product Research running 99% cpu all time

My Mac (10.11.6) is running full steam. Reason: "HP Product Research" is running >99% cpu.

I can't kill it. When I do View/Quit Process/Force Quit in Activity Monitor, the process comes right back.

Following several suggestions on the internet I have

- searched in both Libraries under LaunchAgents, LaunchDaemons, no HP processes there

- deleted the Hewlett-Packard folder completely under Macintosh HD/Library/ApplicationSupport

The problem persists. I will do a cold start next.

Any ideas where HP apps may still be hiding?

Try running this program and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

Try going to your hard drive level Library and move the HP Product Research.app to your Desktop. Also check System Preferences/Users & Groups and if it is in your log in items, remove it using the minus sign. Log out of your account and back in. If things are better, delete the file from the Desktop. If the same, return the file to where you got it.
