final export 2x faster than project

Hello.

I'm trying to decipher as to how the bounce of my project is seeming to play in 2x speed.

The project I've been working on for several hours to me feels like its at least a 3-4 second splash screen, but at the final export it is less than 2 seconds and all animations feel sped up.

I noticed that as I play back my project, the timecode seems to be playing back slower than real time.

Not lag on my computer or anything. It just feels like somehow, I have it set to play back in slow motion or half speed.

Is this possible?

I remember earlier wanting to be able to do this so I could really see things come in and leave more precisely, but all I saw was a set speed behavior, and that only seems to be able to affect an object, not the overall playback speed of your timeline.

Help would be great as I am getting into this, but obviously do not want to create projects that don't end up the same as I was editing them to be.

OH wow, i did do a quick command R, but maybe that was just a play range. so motion was just slowing down the playback speed in order to let me see smooth playback?

i'll experiment with that and maybe some of the render and quality options I see in the top right corner of the canvas.

didnt really seem like i had a complex project going on. Just some callout labels.

Thanks for the tip!
