    Hello bidsbit,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding your iPhone 6 is showing the Connect to iTunes screen. I can imagine this would be concerning, especially since you're unable to use the phone at this time. I am happy to help.

In some cases force restarting can resolve this issue. Follow the steps below to force the phone to restart if needed.

    1. You should force restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch as a last resort, and only if it's not responding. To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists you'll need to reinstall iOS:

    1. Connect your device to your computer using the cable that came with your device. You should see this message: "The software on [your device name] needs to be restored to factory settings or updated."
    2. Click Update to reinstall iOS. Your personal data is preserved.

If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Have an amazing day!
