Unable to sign in with Apple ID after update

After completing the latest update my apple id won't login and a strange email popped up on my screen as well. I tried to reset the password several times but it is saying my ID does not exist...help!

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.5

Having Apple ID issues can be hard to nail down. I know it's an integral part of your whole Apple experience, so I'll do my best to help!
Having trouble signing in? -- Enter the primary email address in the text box at this site then "Continue" below that. If the email address is located, double-check the ID that's showing on your iPhone. Even a small typographical error can cause problems. If the Apple ID site doesn't recognize your email address as a valid ID, then click the "Forgot Apple ID" link and search some of your other email addresses you've used.
Sign in to the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC, or Apple TV -- If you use any other devices, check the iTunes & App Store ID being used.
Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security -- If you've determined that you're using the correct email address, you'll need to contact Account Security in your area for further support. They're only available through phone support, so use this link to find the one nearest you.
