Q: moving text very slightly to align accurately

HI,

I am making a menu in pages and I would like to move the some of the prices on the right hand side so they all align nicely. I don't want to select all "align to the right" as then the food items do not all align vertically. Is there a command or action which enables me just move the desired text in very small increments?

Thank you

There is no practical adjustment to move text in small increments. Perhaps with InDesign, Quark, or Scribus, but not in Pages.

If you want your menu items, and prices aligned differently, and particularly neatly right-aligned prices, then use a table, which has cell formatting for this purpose.

Another choice would be separate Text boxes. The rightmost Text box would have its text inset reduced to 0 or 1, and you would use the sidebar alignment controls to create a price in the bottom-right of the text box. You group, and duplicate these menu items for continuity. You may want to enable the dynamic alignment guides in Pages : Preferences : Rulers : Alignment Guides.

The following example leaves a 0.5 in border to show alignment of Text boxes.
