I have edited my own move in iMovie and every time I burn it to DVD it doesn't work in standard dvd players. I have tried it with -R and +R DVDs and both don't work! Any advice!?

How are you burning the DVD?
You need authoring software like iDVD to burn a video DVD that will play in a DVD player. Burning from the Finder will just create a data DVD.

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.
